[1500] - Genestealer Cults

Hey Everyone,

I've not posted on here before but I do a fair bit of 40k'ing. In light of the new GSC codex, I figured I'd take a stab at an efficient, hard-hitting list to see what everyone thinks. Right now, consensus seems to be that maximizing the Subterranean Uprising formation in Cult Insurrection detachment is the way to go, rather than maxing out the Brood Cycle. I agree with this logic due to Sub being the only way to reliably get your CC units in assault range the turn they come in. Additionally, in the debate between MSU and big squads using Numbers Beyond Counting, MSU makes more sense as all GSC units are pretty flimsy in the long run... chances are you'll outnumber your opponent's shooty units even after they light up your army on their first turn if you go bare-bones MSU. So without further ado, here's my list.

Cult Insurrection: 1500pts

Neophyte Cavalcade:

Leman Russ w/ exterminator AC: 130pts

2x Neophyte Hybrids w/ 10 hybrids, GL, Chimera w/ ML, HF: 240pts

Scout Sentinel w/ AC: 40pts

Scout Sentinel w/ AC: 40pts

Lord of the Cult:

Patriarch w/ ML 2: 115pts

Brood Brothers:

Leman Russ w/ Exterminator AC: 130pts

Brood Brothers:

Leman Russ w/ Battle Cannon: 150pts

Subterranean Uprising:

Primus w/ Dagger of Swift Sacrifice: 90pts

Aberrants w/ 4 guys, 4 hammers: 120pts

Aberrants w/ 4 guys, 4 hammers: 120pts

Acolytes w/ 5 hybrids: 40pts

Acolytes w/ 5 hybrids: 40pts

Metamorphs w/ 10 hybrids, 10 lashes, cult icon: 120pts

Metamorphs w/ 10 hybrids, 10 lashes, cult icon: 120pts

Total: 1495pts

The idea here is the Russes play backfield and snipe while the Neophytes grab objectives. The Sentinels also snipe light vehicles. All the Sub units use Cult Ambush to get up close during deployment/infiltrate. The Primus and the Patriarch each join a metamorph unit to go special infantry and deathstar hunting. The acolytes are mainly chafe which can be used to tie down infantry and grab last minute objectives if need be.

Any C&C is greatly appreciated.

Thanks in Advance!
