1,750pt Video Battle Report - Astra Militarum (Imperial Guard) Vs. Dark Angels

Happy Halloween! What better way to celebrate the spookiest of holidays than by enjoying content set in the spookiest of times?! ... If I had thought ahead I would have had a spooky themed battle report, but I didn't so you'll have to deal with a regular ol' BRAND-NEW GLACIAL GEEK BATTLE REPORT! https://youtu.be/tIkIcN_YmHU This week I take on the Astra Militarum ... The Imperial Guard ... Whatever ... I take on a military force consisting of non-genetically-enhanced humans! When a Ministorum Priest comes across long buried information from the Heresy Era he was intrigued. As he began to read the 10,000 year old document he soon realized it contained information about the Dark Angels and what happened on Caliban during that period. He felt that the information needed to get to higher ups who could act upon it. Unfortunately for him the Dark Angels found out about him and the information he had. On the run from the First Legion, the Priest turned to anyone he could to help protect him. He found an Astra Militarum force on an Imperial planet and signaled for their help. That's when the Dark Angels landed ... Will the Unforgiven be able to capture this Priest and the information he has, or will the Imperial Guard be strong enough to fight back the Sons of the Lion and save the Priest? Watch and find out!

ALSO! This coming weekend I will be taking part in an all day gaming marathon as part of Extra-Life to raise money for the Children's Hospital at Providence! If you would like to make a donation to the cause follow this link: http://www.extra-life.org/participant/GlacialGeek ... Thank you!

Nice batrep as always, Phil! Your experience in this game definitely fits with mine in that Dark Angels struggle a bit with large blob units. Things like massed Daemons or Orks always give me fits. It was interesting to see a game with a "normal" Guard list. Every time I've faced Guard, it's always Veterans and tanks only, rather than Sentinels, regular Infantry Platoons, Company Command Squads, etc.

Thanks! Yeah I usually have trouble with blobs ... Nurgle daemons are the bane of my existence :-P ... I need to get some more whirlwinds and try that three whirlwind formation and see how that handles them :-)
