				<title>[1500] - Dark Angels - Highlander list for casual tournament</title>
				<description><![CDATA[ The list cannot change at this point, so not looking for list advice today. Can't paint new models in time and the list is the best I can do with my collection.<br /> <br /> The tournament is a Highlander setup (Only one of each unit allowed), 1500pts, and uses the missions with the cards, but only one set of 'secure objective x' are used.<br /> <br /> I want to use this pretty casual tournament as a way to start to be a better <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(3);'>40k</span> player, as I am crap right now.<br /> <br /> Before the event I want to make myself a small list/sheet of things to remember and do to try and play a bit better. My goal is to win 1 or 2 of my 5 games and to have fun.<br /> <br /> Basically I would be really grateful for any advice on how to start games well, deploy etc. And how best to think about prioritizing targets. Links to any really good articles on tactics would be awesome too.<br /> <br /> Here is my list.<br /> <br /> ----------<br /> Interrogator Chaplain on Bike with Mace of Redemption and an Auspex.<br /> He rides with 6x Black Knights with a Ravenwing banner, a Champion, an Apothecary and 1 Ravenwing Grenade Launcher.<br /> ---<br /> 1 Librarian, no upgrades (Either rolling Divination with the Devastators or in the drop pod rolling on Librarius)<br /> ---<br /> 5 Deathwing Knights<br /> ---<br /> 5 bikers, 2x meltaguns, 1 attack bike with Multi-Melta<br /> ---<br /> 7 tactical marines, 1 melta, 1 combi-melta, drop pod with missile launcher<br /> ---<br /> 5 scouts, <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(20);'>ccw</span> and pistol<br /> ---<br /> 8 devastators, 3 missiles, 1 plasma cannon<br /> ---<br /> 1 Dark Talon flyer]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ Play to the mission, Think about the objectives first and last each turn. Killing things is secondary: focus on opposing units that threaten your mission - many don't. (Unless it's a Kill Point mission of course.)<br /> <br /> Since you're playing Maelstrom, spreading out and controlling the board will also have value. In most formats, denying a point is as good as scoring it yourself.<br /> <br /> When deploying, pick the four or five objectives you can compete for and plan for the last turn.<br /> <br /> Also remember winning means little if you alienate peers or if you're not having fun yourself. Stay relaxed and focused.<br /> <br /> Your list is pretty good, tho I hope you build a Librarian or two on bike soon.]]></description>

				<title>[1500] - Dark Angels - Highlander list for casual tournament</title>
				<description><![CDATA[ Your Ravenwing Knights are going to be your go-to unit for cracking hard enemy units.  You probably already knew this, but I bring it up to warn you not to overcommit with them early, as your opponent is going to be looking to put them out of commission.  Watch out for Ignores Cover weapons.  If you play against Tau, make a point to kill any markerlight platforms as fast as you can.<br /> <br /> The Deathwing Knights are the weak link in your army, being expensive, slow, and not adding to your firepower.  Deep striking them seems tempting, but then they spend a turn doing nothing before you can try and charge with them, during which your opponent is going to pour a lot of effort into annihilating them.  You'll probably be better off starting them on the table and marching them towards an objective, as their presence on the table right away presents another threat your opponent has to factor in.<br /> <br /> One change you could make that won't require any new models: shift two Marines from your <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(167);'>Tac</span> Squad to your <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(29);'>Dev</span> Squad.  The <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(167);'>Tac</span> Squad is just going to drop in, hopefully smoke a vehicle, then die.  Having 2 more bodies in the squad isn't going to make any difference.  However, 2 more bodies in the <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(29);'>Dev</span> squad brings it to 10 strong, and lets you combat squad it.]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ My personal advice is to know your opponents army as best as possible query anything you are unsure of. If you don't know something they will use it against you. Remember your rules whilst overwatch at bs2 may seem minor when you could have killed that melee unit with it that lost you the game you will wish you remembered it.]]></description>
