				<description><![CDATA[ This is not a list that I plan on taking to any tournament, or really even intend on winning.  But it's a list using Piranhas really aggressively to put pressure on my opponent, and use other tools in less common ways.  Any advice on ways to strengthen up the gimmick, or other suggestions on implementing them would be appreciated.<br /> Caveats: I only own 5 piranha models, and no vespids/kroot.<br /> <br /> Hunter contingent: 1134 pts<br /> <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(56);'>HQ</span>- Commander in xv86 coldstar armor with shield generator.  I want him to be fast as piranhas to keep up with them<br /> <br /> Elites<br /> 3x mono xv8 crisis suits with duel plasma- these are my intended elite harassment/objective grabbers<br /> <br /> Fast attack<br /> 1x5 piranhas running all fusion blasters, sensor spines (move through cover).<br /> --the purpose is to run these 5 piranhas as a singe unit up the board 12", then flat out 18" as fast skimmers and still fire as normal per the hunter contingent's Ambushes and Feints special rule. As long as they are within 12" of a commander (who as a <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(630);'>fmc</span> can keep up) they should be able to go everywhere fast. Whomever survives drops of their drones in 1 unit (hopefully 10) and combined with a drone net below, becomes a reasonably strong new harassment unit.<br /> <br /> Heavy Support<br /> 1x Longstike hammerhead with submunitions, and disruption pod and <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(388);'>sms</span><br /> 1x duel xv88 broadsides with <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(657);'>HYMP</span> and <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(658);'>EWO</span><br /> <br /> Troops<br /> 1x12 Firewarriors- objective campers (maybe run and shoot 1ce with the commander within 12"<br /> 2X 5 firewarriors- backfield objective campers<br /> <br /> Drone-Net VX1-0: 364 points - buff the piranha's units drones, and be distracting themselves. <br /> 1 unit 10 gun drones, to outflank<br /> 2 units 6 marker drones<br /> 1 unit of 4 marker drones<br /> <br /> Currently considering changing from Longstrike to salvage points/I most often fight <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(69);'>IG</span> and preferred enemy bs5 (ie bs10)...s10ap1, that's not really fair/fun <br /> ]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ I would consider breaking up the Piranhas into 2-3 smaller squads for more flexibility. Longstrike isn't that good. There's a good chance he'll cause a glance or pen on <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(69);'>IG</span> tanks, but it's not a guarantee. Assuming he gets a pen, there's still only a 33% chance he'll force explodes. A lot of the time, you'll just strip a hull point. He's not broken at all. I would argue that he's actually over-costed for what he does. I'll take Fusion Piranhas over Longstrike any day of the week.]]></description>

He is as bought.</div></blockquote><br /> <br /> Incorrect, you can take up to 2 additional support items, shield <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(44);'>gen</span> being 1 of them for a 4++ for 25 points. You cannot take signature systems (iridium suit, CCN, etc).  If i wanted i could also take precision shots on a 5+ or <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(265);'>FNP</span> 5+ or <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(658);'>EWO</span> etc.  The shield <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(44);'>gen</span> is basically required as 1 las cannon/grounding test (from any unsaved wound) will instant kill your <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(56);'>hq</span>. ]]></description>
