				<description><![CDATA[ Hello chaps,<br /> <br /> This is the first army list I'm posting up here so be kind-ish <img src="/s/i/a/6d3c0a908a3861135dfaebde91c0ecf6.gif" border="0"> I'm going for an 'all comers heavy mechanised force (I want everything in a transport). There are little fliers in lists in my immediate gaming group so I can get away with no Anti-Air for now. There are a fair few Knights and Super Heavies though. Regardless, some ideas would be helpful. This is what I'm looking at.<br /> <br /> <br /> Terminator Captain (cataphractii). The Centurions use the Raiders to get into range and then blast everything and anything - I regularly come up against flying Nurgle Daemon Princes. I am worried I don't have enough anti-tank to deal with multiple Knights though. I'm not sure how to deal with a list with 3+ Knights in there in all honesty without tailoring against them. <br /> <br /> I could ditch one/both Land Raiders for the Centurions and chuck them in Pods but that leaves 1 land raider that is going to get an awful lot of flak from my opponent and means I lose the ability to shrug off anything that isn't vehicle destroyed...... and I have two painted.]]></description>

The <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(805);'>AA</span> defense force gains +1BS against flying <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(93);'>MCs</span>/ <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(583);'>GCs</span>/ etc. putting out 6 <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(123);'>Str</span> 7 <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(6);'>AP</span> 4 Skyfire shots and 1 <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(123);'>Str</span> 7 <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(6);'>AP</span> 2 Shot (all at BS5). The rest of the Anvil puts out 14 <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(80);'>LC</span> shots (any vehicle can fire twice if it is within 18' (I think) of the <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(87);'>LR</span>, <b>provided the <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(87);'>LR</span> is your Warlord</b>) 6 of which are <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(126);'>TL</span> and the Predators gain the <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(93);'>MC</span>/ Tank Hunter rule (-1 <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(9);'>AV</span> or rerolls to wound against <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(93);'>MCs</span>).<br /> <br /> I would then put <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(126);'>TL</span> <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(5);'>ACs</span> on all the Razorbacks (or leave it as <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(51);'>HBs</span> to save some points), change the plasma guns for flamers and go for Plasma Cannon + <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(126);'>TL</span> Autocannon on both dreads.  Maybe see if you can get a a double Gladius in for free Razorbacks, also see if a Thunderfire or two can fit in their to massacre hoards/ slow down deathstars. <br /> <br /> Some Math Hammer, if you catch a knight's side (with no Ion Shield) you should hit 11 times, 9 of which count the armour as <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(9);'>AV</span> 11 so penetrate/ glance on a 2+ (or 5/6 of the time) which should inflict 7.5 <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(661);'>HP</span>, the other 2 shots should inflict 1 more giving you 8.5 <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(661);'>HP</span> of damage (with an ion shield that becomes 4.25 <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(661);'>HP</span>). 6 of these shots penetrate (3 with ion shield), so with the +1 modifier from AP2, one should do an extra 3 <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(661);'>HP</span> giving you 11.5 <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(661);'>HP</span> total. Basically a dead knight/ turn. In order to get round the ion shield, you'll want to spread the atf into a couple of fire points, so that one side has no ion shield to contend with. ]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ Cheers for the reply mate, The Armoured Task force is not a bad idea actually. I have a few Predators kicking about although they're Autocannon/<span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(80);'>LC</span> but I can live with that. A shame about the Terminators..... I like them and have them painted <img src="/s/i/a/39ea8e0dbfb45dcc6b802cd0e198dba3.gif" border="0"> But I see your point. I can always ditch their Raider in order to Teleport them. I can use spare points for a beacon somewhere and the Armoured Task force.<br /> <br /> The Land Raider 'Master' only allows himself or<b> one</b> vehicle within 24" of him to fire twice. Not whole squadrons so it's not that powerful. Having the <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(87);'>LR</span> my warlord also means it's a fairly easy <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(140);'>VP</span> to claim as Land Raiders aren't that hard to kill once you get to games of the 3k mark.<br /> <br /> The Anti-flier tanks. I'll leave them as I just don't care for the models. Thanks for the advice though, I just can't bring myself to use the ugly things <img src="/s/i/a/6d3c0a908a3861135dfaebde91c0ecf6.gif" border="0"> Razorbacks to Twin <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(5);'>AC</span> is a good idea. 				<description><![CDATA[ The fire twice is still effectively an extra predator in the shooting phase though and the <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(87);'>LR</span> is a tougher warlord, you could change it to a Dreadnought or something. <br /> <br /> I get you on the Terminators tho... I have 30 Termies sitting in my cupboard gathering dust and would love an excuse to field them.]]></description>
