Ebay scamming

Has this ever happened to anyone else?
I run a small, tacky eBay store from which i sell old toys to those who want them. I've had very few problems with the site but over the past two months, EVERYTHING has been lost, misplaced or just vanished. Is it normal to loose that many packages in six weeks? Or is Australiapost just the worst post office in the world?

They're probably busier this time of year, still it's a bit odd. Probably look at tracking or insurance from now on if it's feasible to do so; ebay protects the buyer more, this is how you can protect yourself as the seller a bit.

I keep the receipts with the tracking numbers but EVERYTHING got lost and couldn't be tracked down. No matter who I spoke to at the post office just snarled "That isn't my problem"
It wasn't so much the fact everything got lost that annoyed m, it was the unending torrent of abusive emails [Asdrubal Vect wouldn't even think of doing such things]

The possibilities I see are as follows
1: Due to the influx at this time of year, the parcels have been held back
2: The parcels have been sent to the wrong place
3: [what I think happened] some scumbag van driver dumped his load on the side of the road so he could knock off early

Re:Ebay scamming

Well, from my own experience, this is the time of year when those contractors who barely did their jobs at all previously, jump off that cliff...

But no, I wouldn't imagine that even bad workers would lead to something so endemic. It could be a company wide issue, or multiple people failing to meet their end of the bargain compounding - particularly if the delivery locations are different. However on that same note; what evidence is there that the packages are even leaving your local area - and its not your depot or couriers which are the blame.

Overall though, if something like this can be put down to the incompetence of a middle man then that'd be my first assumption.
