How does one do this if they plan to use multiple colors. I only ask as I only have a singular landraider and have no confidence in my ability to spray different parts of a landradier without contaminating other parts.

Tamiya masking tape is probably the easiest for most people to get hold of, that and plastic wrap/cling film or paper together can save a lot of tape if it's a large area you're masking, or silly putty is the best if you're doing any sort of camo.

You must make sure though that the tape is low tack version though (i.e like the tamiya type).

Masking tape. I use Tamiya (two widths) around details and to edge things out. I also use blue painters tape, but the low tac kind. I would also allow primer to cure for a week first. And give at least 24 hours before taping over paint. Nothing worse than carefully taking off masking tape and all the paint comes with it.

I use newspaper to mask large areas at once too, but you have to be 100% sure to tape around the edges. Had to respray part of mine because I had a faint line along the paper. I was lazy when I masked.

You can also go to an R/C hobby store and look for Liquid Mask. It is a brush on masking that dries clear.
