I'm looking to commission the painting of my Cerastus Knight-Atrapos. I know that all of my questions can only be really answered by the person doing the work but I'd like a general idea of what to expect before I contact someone. Thanks in advance for any and all help.

1. How much would a Cerastus Knight-Atrapos typically cost to have painted?

2. Do people that commission paint work also prefer to be the one to assemble the model?

It's going to depend entirely on the painter and the painting standard you're looking for.

Some will be happy to paint whatever you send them, others will want to assemble themselves - particularly with complex models, as they'll often be painted partially assembled, and each painter is going to have their own preferences as to how much of the model to assemble first.


3. Is basing usually considered part of it or is that usually a separate deal?

It would generally be part of the overall job, or done by whoever assembles the model if that's not the painter... you would need to discuss it with the painter beforehand to make sure that you both have the same expectations.
