Might I also suggest looking into the Baronial Court formation? Objective Secure is nice, but Knights can usually clear out everything close to objectives anyways. Some other alternatives might be an IG Armoured Battlegroup for them sweet sweet ID beasthunter rounds on a BS4 command tank.

IG make good allies for knights (and vice versa) for a variety of reasons. Some good options include the Emperor's Blade Assault company, a mechanized CAD, or the Emperor's Wrath Artillery Company.
