1,850pt Video Battle Report - Daemonic Insurrection Vs. Dark Angels

Getting back into the swing of things post-Holidays time ... What better way to deal with all that than a brand-new Glacial Geek Battle Report?! https://youtu.be/8i02cZKJIxo This week my Dark Angels take on a Daemonic Insurrection! Uprisings in the Imperium are not uncommon. From time to time a planet's populace will become disenfranchised and rise up to overthrow their leaders. Most of the time the local Planetary Defense Force can quash these rebellions with a few lasgun shots and some very public executions. Sometimes the planets need some outside help to put down the rabble. When a call for help was sent for backup with a cult uprising, the Imperium was in no real rush, assuming that the rebellion would be contained by the time any outside assistance could be sent. But when this cult managed to unleash a full fledged Daemonic Incursion, well, that drew a quicker response. With the Dark Angels the closest force to the planet they were sent with one goal ... Keep this from spreading. Will the Unforgiven be able to keep this contained, or will the Dark Gods claim another planet for their own? Watch and find out!

Thought that was going the other way for most of the fight since his rolls where great but the objectives changed it though what unit did you have to kill for big game hunter thought it would be those flying things but my second guess would be the dp that was left

If he hadn't killed my Predator Squadron it would have been his Daemon Princes ... The way Big Game Hunter works as a Tertiary Objective is that whomever kills the unit that costs the most gets that point. So say a game goes all the way through and nothing gets killed except for one scout unit, whomever had killed that scout unit would get Big Game Hunter since it was the most expensive unit killed ... Once my hugely expensive Predators went down there was no way I could get that objective ;-)

Re:1,850pt Video Battle Report - Daemonic Insurrection Vs. Dark Angels

Good game, Phil! I'm with you in that Daemons are the bane of my 40k play. I don't think I've ever won against them. In my play group we've got one guy who used to run the flying circus build but recently ran a Khorne Murderhorde with a Burning Skyhost as an auxiliary. That was a really nasty list. Another guy likes to run either the Murderhorde or the Tallyband alongside a whole bunch of Renegades & Heretics artillery pieces behind an Aegis line. I don't think he ever loses.

So yeah, my experience with Daemons tends to be the absolute nastiest lists you can imagine. It's nice to see that they can be beaten. Also nice to see Dreads doing some good work, as they are awesome models!

I know, right?! So brutal ... But I'm getting better and better at handling them :-D ... It becomes a game of concentration of fire until something goes down and maneuvering to play for the objectives ... Not easy, but doable ;-)
