One simple the eradicator is an anti light infantry tank so the hull lascannon is out of place.  <br /> <br /> Second you have no way to deal with heavy armor,  what would you do if you faced south gaurd list with a Russ of its own?  <br /> <br /> Holy plasma batman,  at least one or maybe both very squads should be meltas ]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ Well for one I'd switch Pask from the Executioner to the Punisher. Pask in a Punisher is just all kinds of fun, even able to glance AV14 tanks to death with some lucky rends. Also, it's waaay to easy to overheat Executioner's to death, especially with plasma sponsons too.<br /> Like Aleis says, swapping at least one of the vets squads over to melta would be wise. And with the points you save doing that you can switch the upgrades from one of the squads to Demolitions and have a demo charge to chuck at things! (Safety Warning: Use of demolition charges is dangerous and should only be attempted if you don't mind the prospect of it scattering right back onto your squad and causing much hilarity all round.)]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ Demolisher with multi melta sponsons is probably the best anti-armour you're going to get with Russes - though don't underestimate Pask with his Punisher, at least against most things.<br />  20 shots rerolling 1's to hit (from his Old Grudges) and rolls to pen means you're bound to get a few rending hits. It might struggle against AV13/14 but at 1000 points you're not going to see much AV14 hopefully, and you've still got the vets for that.<br /> <br /> ]]></description>

Sadly.<br /> Anyone had any luck with the Vanquisher? One shot at BS3 but at least you can use you other guns. If you use that variant in Pask's squad you can benefit from preferred enemy at least and still fire at other targets with tank orders.<br /> As a side note, as you still have a few spare points fitting your tanks with Camo netting could save you from a few heartaches- especially combined with the "Strike and shroud" order.]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ This is a 1000 point list so the two melta squads for heavy armor, pask's unit and chimeras can handle light armor. And and a standard Russ plays jack of all trades. <br /> <br /> I would not use a <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(14);'>bs</span>:3 vanquisher. <br /> <br /> And I also would not multipurpose Pask's unit. You only get split fire with an order meaning you might fail it and you can't issue another. If either of those happen one tank is not shooting what you brought it for.<br /> <br /> There is always a compromise at these low point games <br /> <br /> For the remaining 80 points, i have lately become a huge fan of Armored Sentinels with multilasers.]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ No plasma on the sentinel unless you want it dead. They only have 2 hull points. Trust me those things are awesome if you keep them cheap. Nit just for the gun but as long as a space marine unit doesn't have a power fist or axe. Just and tie them up for the while game. 1 attack with a cracked Grenade needing 6's takes a long time.]]></description>

Cammo netting gives +1 to cover saves meaning they get 6+ cover save in the open. <br /> <br /> Personally I have had only small issues blowing my sents up with overheating plasma weapons generally there shot to all buggery before that happens tho. If you swap to a multi laser that saves 10 points for something else. Could put a hunter killer on pask for 10 points /shrug.<br /> <br /> <br /> <span style="font-size: 9px; line-height: normal;">Automatically Appended Next Post:</span><br /> Remove the Exterminator and change the Armored sent to a stock with multi laser (no cammo nets) gives you points to add another base armored sent and a battle tank (No upgrades)<br /> <br /> could be an option.]]></description>

Either your wasting those points shooting at tanks they don't help with, or good for you smacking that guardsman up side the head with a Vanquisher round.  Guard have numbers so it's best to specialize units. Marines need the jack of all trades stuff because everything has to do everything.<br /> <br /> Also his vet squads have 3 meltas and an ap2 demo charge, pask rends for ap2 in a punisher, and he has an Executioner.
