Grex Airbrush

Hey,

Anyone out there used Grex airbrush? I bought a Badger Omni 4000 a little while back and it works great. GF wants her own and I'm helping her research. When I was looking I couldn't really find any reviews from mini painters on it so I figured I'd ask.

I know Iwata and Badger are sort of the front runners in terms of most popular but I'm just curious about others.

Grex Airbrush

I've got a bunch of AB's... but I've never used the Grex, I had originally stayed clear just due to cost for an AB with a comparatively larger nozzle.

I ended up getting the Iwata Neo Pistol-Grip (gravity fed) and I love that thing. I've primed a massive amount of nids without any hand discomfort hah.

One of my other AB is an Iwata so it was an easy choice for me. Their customer service is outstanding.

Grex Airbrush

Haven't tried Grex, but I've got a friend who has a paasche airbrush he's been real happy with. likes it better than his badger. He's let me use it a couple times and I have to admit its pretty good. I have an Iwata eclipse myself and having owned badger, iwata, and trying the paasche. I'd rank Iwata first followed by paasche and badger. Just my 2 cents.

Re:Grex Airbrush

I use a Grex pistol trigger style.(I also have the Iwata trigger style too) I dig it. It works pretty much like all other airbrushes. The best thing is the larger nozzle that it has. It's easier to pick up and replace after cleaning. And the needle guard on the front is magnetized. That's cool so you don't have to unscrew it to clean off the needle tip while you're using it.

They also sell kits to change over from smaller to larger size needles and nozzles. No trying to make sure you bought the right size needle for your nozzle and such.

When it comes to airbrushes, they are all close in what they do. It goes to company support if you have problems. I have had great customer support from Iwata, Badger and Grex. They have looked at my brushes and didn't charge me anything. Paasche people wanted $30 just to look at my brushes.

Hope this helps.

I called their customer-service with a big explanation ready, but without a single question asked (except my address) they shipped out a new part for free.
