I am looking for a bright and shiny gold on the armour and bright white wings.
I would prefer to use GW paints.

You can thin metallics with water just like regular paints but the application is slightly different. Apply and move on, if you keep poking the same area it will clump. Then do a second later after its fully dried, seems like more work but it's worth it.
