Painting Sanguinary Guard?

Hey guys i am new to the forum so forgive me if i am doing something wrong (=
I am new to warhammer and need some help with how to paint sanguinary guard. I have looked at a few different tutorials but the gold is always very dark (almost a bronze colour)
I am looking for a bright and shiny gold on the armour and bright white wings.
I would prefer to use GW paints.

Thank you!!

Here is how I did mine, using Vallejo paints however. In this article I tested several different gold styles and brands - for the sake of painting SG.

http://atticwars40k.blogspot.com/2011/10/great-gold-rush-quest-for-best-gold.html

I will say that the very newest GW golds are quite a bit better but they still separate too easily on a wet pallet.

Definitely ...the newest GW retribution Gold, I think that's the name has decent coverage, but vallejo model color brass is a great start too.

You can thin metallics with water just like regular paints but the application is slightly different. Apply and move on, if you keep poking the same area it will clump. Then do a second later after its fully dried, seems like more work but it's worth it.

Highlight with vallejo model color gold, and finally gold mixed with a little silver.
