Will tau and necron get more to there stories too?

Once again i'm pretty sure this will have been brought up...

... Anyhow, with the sudden expansion and very welcome story progression of the imperium and chaos.., i wonder if the other races will also get another story development... the tau empire continue to expand, the necron continue to expand and the tyranid continue to devour, will they get more story or will it be just the imperium and the warp as the 13th crusade against continues...

... the blackstone fortresses have been used by the warload of abbadon... ... and they are necron technology, so what will the necron do with the monkeys and deamons fight each other? will they stop it or exploit it?

Thats my question, what do you think?

Will tau and necron get more to there stories too?

Personal speculation that has no basis on any known or unknown rumors:

The Gathering Storm is the first trilogy in a Trilogy of Trilogies.

The second trilogy will be something akin to "The Breaking Storm" featuring the culmination of forces, and the clashes in which they meet, that have gathered as a result of the first trilogy. I'd expect a Chaos triumvirate, an Ork triumvirate (Ghaz's WAAAGH!), and perhaps a Tyranid triumvirate, as the three major enemies of the Imperium/Aeldari with existing surpluses of forces that could be capable, even by losing (or at least not winning as much as they'd want), of severely depleting the Imperium's fighting strength going forward.

The third trilogy will be something akin to "The Storm's Wake" featuring the opportunities presented to the growing/re-emerging empires like the Tau and Necrons (and perhaps... a second Imperium? Guilliman is back, and his past is checkered with empire-building inclinations), with a Tau 4th Sphere Triumvirate and the return of the Silent King. Tyranids or Orks might also end up showing up here, with Girlyman's Second Empire showing up in the second trilogy instead... more likely Tyranids, as the Orks would actively enjoy being a part of the second trilogy's meat grinder while the Tyranids really just want biomass, and are more of an active threat to both Tau and Necrons.

Baseless speculation, woohoo!

All three will be very much inclined towards carving out more for their growing/re-emerging/gathering Empires/waaghs!

The tyranids arriving on terra with a new hive fleet, that would be epic and what you said makes sense... it could be what GW are planning, i would love that... and even with the inevitable defeat, it would allow the 40k universe to continue as well as the chaos to be stopped in there tracks, and yet change the galaxy forever allowing the other armies to gain more pressence in the fluff of the game...

and if gulliman creates his own imperium like the old one, it'll give yet another force to wreck the galaxy, and at the same time add a level to the story that will once more break the galaxy and add more war and intresting fluff....

so many options, its exciting

Automatically Appended Next Post:

VictorVonTzeentch wrote:
The Tyranids were originally drawn by the Pharros Device which was in the Realm of Ultramar during the Heresy.

I do believe you, though i also didn't know that, if you could will you supply a link for the fluff, so i can expand my knowledge

Considering all these events revolve around the solar system, I would be incredibly surprised if we didn't get anything pertaining to the Void Dragon at least. Maybe, as Abaddon is about to make his final push on Terra, Trazyn will sneak onto Mars and wake up the Void Dragon in order to give the Imperium a better chance. (We can't have all those nice collectibles being destroyed, can we?)

Tau are wildcards and can be easily shoehorned in somewhere.

Balancekeeper89 wrote:
I do believe you, though i also didn't know that, if you could will you supply a link for the fluff, so i can expand my knowledge

http://warhammer40k.wikia.com/wiki/Pharos_(Novel)

Far beyond the fringes of the galaxy there was naught but endless black.
Past the last few stray stars plying their lonely track through the cold night, past the dead worlds and the fragments of galactic collisions billions of years gone, past the probes sent out by extinct races recorded in no history… past all that and beyond, there was a night sea studded with the diamond islands of distant, lonely galaxies.
Though incomprehensibly vast, this sea was not empty. Great behemoths of the deep lurked there.
Into the eternal blackness, a flash of quantum energy shone out at many times the speed of light; a brief flare, milliseconds in duration, projecting from an unremarkable spiral of stars.
It was not missed.
In the darkness, something of limitless hunger stirred in a slumber that had lasted for aeons. A million frozen and unblinking eyes saw the flash, tripping cascades of stimuli. Their purpose served, the eyes died.
The entity processed the message the eyes provided without ever truly awakening. Automatically, instinctively, its gargantuan, dreaming mind analysed the signal, comparing it against all parameters for the one thing it sought.
Prey.
Slowly, glacially, the great devourer shifted its course.

Assuming all roads lead to Terra, at least initially for Tyranids and Chaos, a huge 3way battle on Terra could be on the cards. The size of this would draw in orks (4way battle) with Eldar turning up at key moments to change the direction of the battle (see below).

Eventually when all seems lost cypher (yes he's on Terra with Girlyman) goes to kill/free the emperor because why not... everything's done for anyway so lets roll those dice.

Emperor does / doesn't get reborn and the webway gate under Terra does / doesn't open and flood Terra with even more deamons (maybe this is where Eldar / Harlequins could get involved).

The impact of Emps dying causes the Void Dragon to awaken (opportunity for Necron involvement) and then somehow it ends in a huge cluster feck and maybe Terra is destroyed in the same way Cadia was, but the chaos, orks and tyranids forces, along with most of the remaining Imperium forces on Terra all dying. Which puts a temporary pause to things.

Terra is gone. Emps may/may not be around to pick up the pieces with Girlyman post Terra and the Imperium needs a new home planet, perhaps things are rehoused to Ultramar in the short term, which causes more jealousy amongst other key loyal SM chapters. Everything is even more Grimdark than before. Welcome to the 42nd century.

Whilst that allows most major armies to get involved in some way, I can't see Tau getting involved unless they somehow hitch a ride on the back of an Eldar craftworld or there's some Necron shenanigans going on
