I've since came back and aspire to create a death guard army as my friend gifted me 30+ plague marines and typhus.

Upon reading the traitor legion book - the horus heresy paint scheme is my goal for my miniatures and tanks. This scheme realllly calls for a white base coat, so I'm wondering what to do with my black primed vehicles. Can I apply a white coat over it? I've used simple green on other models to strip the paint, but not sure if it would be needed with just the prime coat on.

If you try and get too much coverage in 1 coat you'll end up clogging the details.
