They use the Chaos Space Marine codex.

The supplement Traitor Legions gives them a lot more options, along with the 7 other Traitor Legions. You still need the Chaos Space Marine codex, though.

Both. They are featured in the CSM supplement "Traitor Legions", but they also have their own supplement in " Wrath of Magnus" (which also requires codex CSM) the latter includes codex chaos daemons units for more of a mixed army. Technically though the TSons are all based on Codex Chaos space marines and the legions supplement. The magnus book has the same content except that is also includes dameons, but those daemons are from their own codex. You don't get mixed formations or anything like that. It just happens to include daemon formations that go with the same theme, which isn't bad since you are somewhat likely to be summoning daemons anyway.

Either way you won't need both supplements if you want to stick with TSons. The same content is in both. I'm not 100% sure about psychic powers though. Both have the CSM Tzeentch table but Wrath of Magnus might not have the generic powers.
