This is my first post on here and I just wanted to introduce myself to you! My name is Phil, im 26 years old and I live in Austria.

Since I have had a long time fascination for the 40k universe, I finally decided to quit lurking on the Dakka forums and actually get my own account so I can share some of my stuff with you and participate in discussions with all you creative minds out there. I really enjoy reading through these kinds of blogs (especially the great fluff) and get some inspiration from other hobbyists, as it keeps me motivated and trying to advance my own modeling skills.
What I found I really enjoy about this hobby is converting and personalizing my army, so Greenstuff is one of the mainstays of my hobby routine.
I am a rather slow painter and I like to take my time to make sure I get the result I envisioned, and converting a lot doesn't exactly speed up the process, but I think it pays off in the end. Right now I only have one army that I have dedicated most of my efforts into for the past few years, namely a force of second company Ultramarines (or Smurfs as I'm sure many of you have come to call them ), so thats what I will be showing you to start off with. Do not be discouraged, as you will find there are quite a few unique minis in there that even people who are absolutely sick of seeing blue power armor can enjoy. Also, I have a plan to start a new army which will be a custom Space Marine chapter (starting to see a pattern here? ) which will be entirely Truescale, so thats something to look forward to if you aren't into Ultras.
