Needless to say within a week we had a games room set up with a games table and a painting table, lighting, and all of our miniatures unpacked. I've spent more than I care to admit as I decided to change from playing CSM to a soley Chaos Daemon army. It was funny sitting down to paint for the first time in 10 years as I stared and my brushed trying to remember how to do things like blend colors and highlight. It's slowly coming back to me. I've almost completed my first unit of plague drones, and while not perfect, for starting back out I'm pretty happy with how they've turned out.

I know this is going to be a money sink, especially since I love collecting and painting even more than I love playing the games. At least I have more disposable income now at 32 than I did in my early 20's while I was trying to put myself through school and living in the city where everything was horrendously expensive. The downside of course, is where we live now while cheaper, there is no GW and no local game store. We have one friend who has started playing with us, but can not find anyone else who plays.

I like gaming away from stores. You are more free to play the games you want, how you want.
