I recently got back into painting my 40k army (Eldar) and have almost finished now but upon inspecting my models they have seemed to gather a bit of dust. They have been kept inside a citadel hard case and are all relatively safe. The problem I have is that the foam has slightly stuck to the models as they were varnished in 'ardcoat and I am having trouble removing it. There is a mixture of dust and pieces of foam which is really annoying and I am not sure what to do. Should I spray with an air compressor or use an old brush? I really don't want to harm them.

It's what I use to keep my minis cleaned off. I also have a big soft makeup brush that works well. As long as the foam isn't sticky on the models, a good brush and spray should handle it. If you have an airbrush, that works well too, for dusting them. If they are sticky, you could try giving them a light washing, since they're varnished, and I assume it's long since cured.
