After the Dark Angels assault squad failed to return to base and failed to answer the vox calls, a force of scouts and assault marines were sent out to figure out what happened to their brethren. The scouts quickly located the slaughtered marines and began checking the bodies for clues as to whom their attackers were. With little warning they were attacked by Cult Mechanicus forces who also appeared interested in the bodies ... The Kataphrons face the same issue any expensive units face in Kill Team ... Lack of numbers ... I love my 5-man Black Knight squad, but a few unlucky saves (as I am want to do ;-) ) and suddenly I've broken and am getting overwhelmed.
