Paint storage (Can they be stored in minus Celsius?)

I am abroad atm, and I just remembered that I have stored ALL my paints and pigments on the balcony this winter. Its a glassed in balcony but temps have been down to -5 C.
Can I chuck my paints into the garbage when I get back or is there any hope?

Has anyone had similiar experience? (garage/balcony/shed)

Paint storage (Can they be stored in minus Celsius?)

I’ve left my paints in the car midwinter once, and they froze solid. Some thawed and I’m still using them today. Others separated beyond salvage.

All hope is not lost, but you still might have problems.

Oh God. I feared that.

My only hope is that the colors are in a crate under another crate on a balcony that's glassed in, and that we haven't had temps. below 25F / -4C this winter.
Thanks for the reply tho!

IIRC it was only a few of the washes that totally separated. The pigment turned into little flakes swimming in the solution. This was also about 20 years ago, so they probably use different formulas now.

I suspect you will probably be mostly OK, but be sure to give everything a good shake once you get home.

I had an order of Armypainter paints that froze in the mailbox before I could get home from work. Once they thawed, most of them were so thick they were like pudding 0r the puff-paint you put on t-shirts, and even after thinning, I couldn't get them to cover worth a damn when painting.

Hmm... I was about to place an order of 30 paints, but now I have to wait and see how the weather is going to be on monday. Also, I should ask the seller how they are packaging their products. Thanks for the info.
