Magnets keep falling off bases

I have magnetised all of my miniatures using superglue to attach rare earth magnets to the bases. I have a problem where occasionally the magnets will snap off the base. Is there a better way of attaching them to the base? Have tried PVA glue but have found it to be far too weak.

I've always used superglue and not really had a problem, as long as there's a good clean contact surface on both sides.

If it's not clearly a smooth contact patch on both sides you could use a thin layer of greenstuff to ensure good contact. Once the GS is hard, glue both sides (i.e. base to GS and magnet to GS).

Always use super glue for magnets, maybe scratch up the side you're gluing so it can form a stronger bond than it would as a smooth surface if it's a larger one.

2 much better ways to attach them are Green Stuff and Hot Glue. The reason the magnets get detached is there is usually space between the surface they are sitting on and the magnet. This causes stress on the glue joint. Using a blob of green stuff or hot glue and then pressing them down to a piece of wax paper makes the magnets sit flush with the bottom of the base and is much easier on the joint.

Superglue needs a nice flush joint with no gaps. You can do a superglue/greenstuff sandwich, or just use an epoxy adhesive like araldite. Work the araldite up around the sides of the magnet so it can hold it better and roughen up the plastic a bit so it can bite on.
