I want to make a large "display base" for my yncarne and have a round cork board thats the perfect size. It is relatively thick, but has some flex to it. So my question is if I used the cork as a base, would that work fine? I'm worried that it might warp after a while with all the glue and paint on it.

Just cork by itself? You want a baseboard or something under it otherwise it'll probably break and warp over time.
