Blue Lychguard Scythes

I've watched the simple tutorial from GW (just google painting warscythe/https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=clWZUwAN_zc) and I'm quite happy with how that looks but I wish to do it with blue instead of green. I've experimented with several blues but can't get it quite right. Could someone help with which blues to use as there doesn't seem to be a direct colour chart that I could translate off of (hopefully that last bit makes sense).

I've tried, in no order, Kantor, Macragge, Sotek, Temple Guard and Lothern. There's no melding of colours, they don't fade together and the step with lahmian medium requires one coat for it to stand out vividly. I grant I'm not an overly skilled painter but I can follow instructions well enough. Perhaps I'm not using enough lahmian, I don't know.
