The Air Armada formation lets you take 3 dakkajets, 1 burna-bommer and 1 blitza-bommer. The only restriction is "One Dakkajet must take flyboss". On the ork codex dakkajet datasheet, the dakkajet can take a flyboss for 15 pts.

With Death from the Skies rules, you get new datasheets where you can take multiple dakkajets for a single FA slot as a flyer wing. In that case, only one dakkajet can take a flyboss (and he is the wing leader). However, the flyer wings rules state that you can form a flyer wing using models from the same datasheet (as stated before) or the same formation. So I could make a flyer wing of, for example, a dakkajet and a blitza-bommer in the AA formation.

My question is: If I make a flyer wing using the 3 dakkajets from the air armada formation, can I upgrade them all to flybosses? I'm using 3 "different" datasheets for the dakkajet, not a datasheet where I'm getting 3 dakkajets on a flyer wing.

The datasheets and Formations on the following pages allow you to field Flyers as individual models, or in Flyer Wings of 2 to 4 models. The datasheets replace those found in the models’ respective codexes.
