Sticky miniatures

I recently applied a thin coat of Lahmian Medium over a Deathwatch model I was working on. It's been drying for three hours now, but the miniature feels sticky to the touch. Does anyone have experience with this problem and can offer any advice? Much appreciated.

I haven't had the problem with that specific paint or model, but I have had it happen before while making terrain. It means that for some reason the paint will not cure. It may be due to an impurity in the paint, on the model, or due to an incompatibility of the surface material with the paint. I've tried leaving sticky paint in front of a fan for over a week and it did zero good. I ended up stripping the model, cleaning it thoroughly, and repainting it. The second time worked fine.

Tacky paint won't dry. Never had that issue with citadel paint on citadel models but it happened when I used the same paint on a cheap plastic iron man miniature. Scrub it clean and do over. I keep a bottle of 99% isopropyl in my kit.

Thanks for the replies. I've solved the problem using a hot blowdryer, a mini-fridge, and another coat of Lahmian Medium. Not necessarily in that order.

I had a plan that involved a hose, rubber tire and a racoon but I'm glad you solved your issue. May your models be fruitful and multiply.
