				<title>Lizardmen as 'counts as' Chaos Space marines</title>
				<description><![CDATA[ I'm just throwing out some ideas as this point and I'd like to get some feedback and maybe some additional ideas.<br /> <br /> As a Daemon player, I have dabbled with the idea of <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(22);'>CSM</span> allies, but I've never had any interest in going that far into them.<br /> I also really like the aesthetics of Lizarmen, having played them for years back when Fantasy existed<br /> <br /> What do you think of Skinks as Cultists and Saurus as the Chaos Space Marines?<br /> Theme-wise they would be from a system of planets inhabited by a reptilian species.  Maybe the system is near a warp rift so they worship Chaos<br /> <br /> The Skinks would not even need conversion work as the blowpipe can serve as the auto pistol.<br /> <br /> -]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ At the moment, I'd only do this as an ally to my Daemons.  Probably just the Skink cultists and a Saurian Sorcerer to unlock Magnus (which would be a beefed up <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(235);'>LoC</span>).<br /> <br /> The theme would be that "Sungam" as powerful Lord of Change has declared himself the ruler of this Saurian empire.<br /> So most likely, these will all be Mark of Tzeentch <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(22);'>CSMs</span><br /> <br /> I'm also open to the idea of using the Saurus Calvary as Bikers for a <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(724);'>KDK</span> Gore pack.<br /> I just have to solve the issue of what their weapons need to be made of.<br /> <br /> Many models would use bolter, but since these will not be using human tech, I need to think of a more primitive way to represent a bolter equivalent.  Maybe cross bows or bio-logical base weapons like the Tyranids?]]></description>

I think Crossbows would be a bad idea personally as there is some disconnect between an automatic .75 Caliber <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(6);'>AP</span> rocket shooter and a crossbow. If you could get ahold of something like the Avelyn from Dark Souls series, which is a crossbow that has 3 bows and fires three shot burst, you could make it good. Biological weaponry would be the way to go for me, maybe spine-based? Ie, a big lump of spikes that fires 8 inch bone spears? Heavier weaponry could be shown by trebuchets or ballistas mounted on the larger Dinos, like the Stegodon, to represent Predator Tanks. Bastilodon/Trebuchet would be a fantastic Vindicator. Troglodons are prime candidates for Maulerfiends, while Carnosaurs could be a fantastic Chaos Lord on Steed (even Disc of Tzeentch) or even a Daemon Prince (although if you're doing Daemon allies just a <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(262);'>DP</span> would be good too, maybe with a Carnosaur-based conversion?). Terradon or Ripperdactyl Riders could be used as Raptors or Warp Talons respectively, and you have potential for giant Pteradon-based Heldrakes as well.]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ Honestly, the closest analogy is Orks. No armour, crude appearance. Big Dinos = ramshackle vehicles. You'd be super-hard-pressed to justify a 3+ save on something wearing... scales. On part of it's body.<br /> <br /> Skinks = grots.<br /> <br /> I don't think you could swing a LM conversion that wouldn't "look" like a counts-as Ork army. Orks in 'Eavy Armour would be more "Marine-Like" than Lizardmen.]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ Yeah, I want to keep the primitive overall.  They are only able to keep up with the other races in the <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(3);'>40K</span> galaxy because they worship chaos.<br /> I am liking the bio-weapons idea the most so far.  they can use a mix of primitive tech like blowpipes and spears, but for their projectile weapons, they can use xenos/chaos infused weapons.  Nid weapons would probably look the part best.<br /> <br /> Fleshborers & Spinfist can make fine bolter eqivalents.  I doubt I would go any farther than that at this point though.  Maybe I need a melta equivalent if I ever decide to run Cold One bikes.<br /> <br /> I could see Lizardmen as Orks, but that isn't the point on this project.  I am not trying to fit Lizardmen models into <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(3);'>40K</span>, I am trying to field <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(22);'>CSMs</span> as a group of Xenos that worship chaos, rather than human traitors<br /> The galaxy is huge and reptilian aliens as sadly few and far between in the <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(3);'>40K</span> mythos.<br /> <br /> -]]></description>
