What box set would be the best for a grey knight Shadow war team

As the title says i'm planning to run a Grey knight team in shadow war Armageddon (primarily a DA player but i dont own scouts so i thought since i need to buy a £15 scouts box to play SM i would just play GK as they are awesome in my opinion in the lore)
So yeah guys which box would be the best to buy in your opinion or is there a way i can get them much easier / cheaper as so far im thinking the GK purifier box as i already own the Voldus model and can use him as a GK terminator for the special

(Just to note - if anyone has any opinions on GK in shadow war i would really appreciate them or if anyone thinks id be best off buying the scouts for SM and can give their reasons i would appreciate it)

Edit: Also any tips / advice on GK comps for Shadow war would be awesome as ive never played shadow war and ive only been playing 2-3 months so ive never played necromunda either

I'd also consider looking at eBay. Someone who is smart might start parting out particular kits for SWA.

What box set would be the best for a grey knight Shadow war team

GK are one of the smallest squads you will be able to take in SWA, as their models cost a lot and so do their mandatory Force Weapons (min 30 points each for Falchions or 25 points for Staves). I used a squad of four (Justicar, Gunner, 2x GK) vs CSM and it was fun and turned out to be a very close game. The swords worked well against generic CCW, and were a huge benefit when assaulting. This was at the GW store's launch so some errors were made, but I still enjoyed it. I would start with two Gunners if you plan on having multiple special weapons, as otherwise you will not be able to add them later due to their high cost. You would have to start the with Staves and upgrade the weapons as the campaign goes on, so it would weaken your early games but provide a huge pickup later on.

The only box you will need is a 5 man Squad to start. If you want Specialists later on you could magnetize the packs to make an Interceptor (if you're a WYSIWYG), or grab some Terminators. Keep in mind that the Specialists are not free (take a separate in game currency), so it's not like you can start off with a group of Terminators.

I was in the process of building a GK Army already (Librarian, GKT, DK), so I picked up a Strike Squad and modeled them as Interceptors from the start with Force Swords and an Incinerator. During the match they counted as Strike Squads though as everything is the same minus the back packs (much like Purifiers and their helmets). I also had to count one Force Sword as Dual Falchions, but in my defense I bought the box the day prior and did not have the rules on hand when modeling them.

Good luck!
