Shadow Wars:Arrmagddon question. Do I need the new book?

I have been trying to keep up to date with what is going on, but it seems I am a little behind. 2 or 3 weeks ago when Shadow Wars Armageddon I missed out on getting it. Today I guess I won the lottery, I was able to find a copy of it for sale. So 2 hour drive later (there and back) I am finally home and I am wondering should I cancel the book I pre ordered from my FLGS? I thought I read somewhere I can get the updates for free on GW website.

I am not sure since a few people seem to be complaining instead of grateful on getting a copy that they have an out dated book. Is it really outdated? I thought with the free update the book is perfect usable. So I want to make sure since as I said, I am behind the times a bit for the last few weeks on what is what.

I also bought the $90 building since I thought I wouldn't be able to get the boxset. So I am wondering should I call up Games Workshop and see if I can return it since they say they have a money back guarantee or is that only if you bought it through the webstore? If I can get a refund and return it, should I? Would I be albe to use it with the included scenery in the boxset? If so any ideas what I can do?

Davor

Shadow Wars:Arrmagddon question. Do I need the new book?

The new book is the old book but with the current PDF rules for various forces added in.

Doesn't seem worth it if you have the original book - I find it's actually more convenient to have the print out of just the 5 pages for whatever force I'm using that game.

Even if you get the new book, it may soon be out of date anyway as new forces get released.

You'll need a lot more terrain than what comes in the box to make a decent SWA table, so if you've got the money and want to do a GW industrial table, it's still worth keeping. The GW industrial terrain line is inter-compatible.

Thank you very much Asmodai. Greatly appreciated. So I will cancel my order for the book and get more minis then. Good to know I can use more buildings as well.
