Was also going to add Karl Jericho. Most of the Necromunda books are worthy of your attention actually, though they are a bit rare. I'd espescially recommend Salvation. Probably one of the funniest 40k reads. You follow a scribe and his "amazing" discoveries as he battles his way through the Imperiums beuarocracy.

Gav Thorpes last chancers (the first book) have some comedy in it, but it's more the overbearing dread of dead men walking knowing not to take anything seriously and always trying to escape when no one looks. Such is the life of a penal legionary.
