[2000] - Drukhari - Pure Wych Cult

This is a lightning fast, CC oriented list. Any comments appeciated! FYI, 9 combat drug taking units.

Lelith Hesperax @ 125

Lelith was actually the last piece i added to the list. Seems like a very fluffy choice for a list like this. She'll ride with the raider borne wyches.

Succubus w/ Archite glaive @72

Succy will run with the foot wyches.

10 Hekatrix Bloodbrides w/ 3x Hydra gauntlets, Syren w/ Agoniser, phantasm grenade launcher @ 149
Raider w/ DL, Shock prow (116)

10 Hekatrix Bloodbrides w/ 3x Hydra gauntlets, Syren w/ Agoniser, phantasm grenade launcher @ 149
Raider w/ DL, Shock prow (116)

Blood brides seem like pretty great shock troops for this list. The army had 10 points left over after first draft hence the 3 PGLs.

9 Wyches, Hekatrix w/Agonizer @ 85
Raider w/ DL, Shock prow (116)

10 Wyches, Hekatrix w/Agonizer @ 94

10 Wyches, Hekatrix w/Agonizer @ 94

Can't have a wych list without wyches!

Beastmaster w/agonizer + 12 Razorwing flocks @ 144

This is an interesting unit. The whole unit has fly and the razorwings and BM have identical movement (unlike the slower fiends and kymerae). The razorwings are pretty ass in combat, but they get a boatload of attacks and rerolls from the BM. They could be used to screen, to assault flyers, to disrupt, or as a "distraction carnifex". I like how I've painted them, and with 12 flocks they should be pretty intimidating.

15 hellions + helliarch w/agonizer, splinter pistol, phantasm grenade launcher @ 262

Yet another fast unit with weight of numbers. I will look to use these guys to assault multiwound targets.

Ravager w/ DL, shock prow @ 156

Ravager w/ DL, shock prow @ 156

Ravager w/ DL, shock prow @ 156

Happy to include my go-to heavies again in 8th!

***
Battalion detachment (+3 CP)
Total points: 1999

[2000] - Drukhari - Pure Wych Cult

Having tried out Wych Cult based lists a few times, I'm finding that you have to keep a few things in mind:

1) Your transports are functionally identical to your opponent, so they will choose one to focus fire on and if you stick an HQ in with 9 wyches it will 100% go down turn 1. I've been trying to keep ~6 power levels worth of units in each transport, which means Lelith warrants a Venom of her own. Theyll still probably choose her to focus on, but that'll be their loss because Venoms are significantly cheaper than raiders AND harder to kill.

2) You want to plan your drugs, and I find a high variety of units are necessary to get a good spread. Beastmasters like +LD (LD9 beasts are...well..beast), Reavers and Succubi love +T, wyches like +Move if they're Hydra+Ago or +S if they're Sword+Shardnet, and Hellions work with pretty much anything but I've been giving them +A because it's what's left and S4-S5 doesn't usually create a ton of wound shifts in the kinds of targets you generally send Hellions at. If I were making your list, I'd either split the hellions into 2 units of 5 or ditch 5 and add 3 Reavers.

3) Bloodbrides....sadly, still not great. But if you do field them, I think 5 in a venom is the way to go. If they mirrored the Trueborn and had increased access to specials (Say 3 specials and a Syren with her own gear) then they'd be awesome elite units to put in Venoms. as it stands I dont think they have a distinct enough role - take a Bloodbride squad next to a wych squad and you basically tell your opponent "hey, these ones are slightly more valuable and slightly more dangerous" and they go "OK, Ill focus my fire on them then."

4) I think the razors work fine for the role you want them to perform (distraction carnifex/deep strike soaker) but I think it's also worth giving the BM a second squad of Clawed Fiends to give him a real role after the birds die horribly to first turn fire. Fiends provide solid muscle support to a Cult army and give us a possibly even stronger version of Grotesques.

5) A flyer might be worth putting in. Voidravens do the same thing as Ravagers more or less but they also can rock the socks of one elite unit that you need to be 100% dead, which is something wych cult lists kind of struggle with. The ability to nuke the pants off some obnoxious 2+sv unit you can't fight with your mainline wyches might be handy.
