As I'm sure with most of you I have been waiting with en-trepidation for 8th Edition to hit stores so I can get my 8th edition on.

Due the majority of leaks and previewing the index/rulebook in store I've been able to get a list together. Understandably until we play who knows how its going to pan out however;
I'm looking for some CC, to see if there is anything I'm missing.

Battalion Detachment: 2-3 HQ, 3-6 Troops, 0-6 Elites, 0-3 Fast Attack, 0-3 Heavy Support, 0-2 Flyers

My main aim is to stay fairly fluffy with the crusade squads, supported by some nice HQ choices. The Reedemer LR goes off in search of elite and character hunting. With the Apoth looking to keep the Marshall and the Emperuh's champion alive.

The Marshall provides re-rolls to hit as well as Grimaldus. That's why I've split them up. Hes then in the Crusader for anti-infantry purposes.

The intercessor squad is for some fire support with -1 AP, but mainly back field objective holders. That and I needed a third troop choice to make up my battalion detachment.

Centurion Dev's do what they say on the tin. Long range fire support and anti-vehicle.

Terminator assault squad is there to deploy in as and where I need them.

The Thunderhammer it's better this time around at 3 Damage instead of d3 Damage from the Fist.
Power Sword it's better than Axe if you have Helbrecht's buff.

Thanks for the response. I have played two games at 2K now and have made some initial tweaks: I also noted that I was not paying for my Land Raider Sponsors or TAC. That was a bad mistake so had to adjust for 137 points.

The intercessors didn't really do it for me. Thier objectives holders, but don't offer up much opportunity. Where as a cheaper scout squad with a 2+ save in cover can snipe characters and offer nice offence.

Also assault terminators, whilst grand for T4 infantry with average saves, they lacked the staying power vs terminators. Hence the swap to Cata's and x5 power fists instead.

The centurion dev squad is admittedly expensive. When they get tied up in combat its a huge amount of wasted points. I will see what I can do to test the alternative!
