AP you won't have a prayer of stopping anything actually durable before it gets to you, and if you want to dump twenty five-man Fire Warrior units on the table you've got no hope of going first.

1) S5 is not that great anymore. Now you're just firing a bolter against T3 infantry and against most monsters and light vehicles.

2) Infantry in general is pretty efficient now, though. Very little is going to be able to cost-efficiently kill your Fire Warriors.

3) I hadn't looked at Pathfinder teams before; they seem great. Since standard Pathfinders are basically just Fire Warriors with Markerlights you might not want to take 3 rifles in each squad -- just shift some Fire Warriors to your Pathfinder squads so you have more ablative wounds. I'd definitely consider a couple pulse accelerator drones if you're doing a gunline.
