I'm looking to run Angron in an 8th edition chaos list, but now that the Horus Heresy rules and 40k rules are different, I'm looking to transpose it. I immediately thought of the Bloodthirster rules, maybe Insensate Rage? With a few modifications;
Spoiler:


Keep: The stat line, power level, weapon, and points cost

Remove: Daemonic Ritual, Fly Keyword, Daemon Keyword, Bloodthirster Keyword

Add: Primarch of the World Eaters - You can re-roll hit rolls of 1 and invulnerability saving throws of 1 made for friendly World Eaters units with 9" of Angron

Death to the False Emperor, (Chaos Lord, World Eaters, Heretic Astartes, Angron, Primarch) Keywords

Replace: Greater Daemon with Sire of World Eaters - Friendly World Eaters units within 6" of this model when they take a Moral test can use this models Leadership instead of their own.

Daemonic with Armour of Mars - this model has a 5+ invulnerable save


I'ts pretty much a combination of Magnus the Red's rules and the Bloodthrister rules. does this seem decently balanced? It wont be perfect, but is there anything else you guys think needs to be done?

FW doesn't have rules for Angron.

As for your proposal, I'd say bump up the attacks, give him a 4++ and give him the Black Blade: Sx2 AP-5 D3 "You can re-roll to wound with this weapon" or "Invulnerable saves have a -1 modifier against wounds caused by this weapon". Unfortunately (in my opinion), the Horus Heresy units won't be getting switched to 8th Ed in the foreseeable future, so primarchs and special units that didn't already have 40k rule won't see a switch.

I ended up adding the Blood for the Blood God special rule, and a 4++ (which makes more sense). Here is what his abilities look like know, still with the standard Bloodthirster statline:

Primarch of the World Eaters: You can re-roll hit rolls of 1 for friendly World Eaters units within 9” of Angron

Sire of the World Eaters: Friendly World Eaters units within 6” of this model when they take a Moral test can sue this models Leadership instead

Armour of Mars: This model has a 4+ invulnerable save

Blood for the Blood God: Angron can be activated twice in each Fight phase, instead of only once.

Yea, sorry!
