Best method for priming lots of figs both big and small

What is the best way to secure and prime a bunch of big and small models? What do you place them on, how do you secure them so they don't fall off? What has worked best for you guys? I tried that bluetac stuff but it didn't work so well.

I have bunch of termagants and stealers I would like to prime. Also, I got some bigger guys I need to prime as well - tervigon, trygon, etc...

I've found simply holding the bases, and not worrying about primer on the sides of the bases works fine for me with an airbrush (brush prime the base edges once the model painted as the last step, otherwise it all rubs off).

for rattle can I took a 12" square bit of cork, laid the models on their sides and spray, when dry flip over and repeat, when thats dry stand them up and spray from the top - larger models hold the base.

Both cases you can wear gloves to stop priming your hand.

I've moved to an airbrush, the £100 for that and the compressor has paid for itself in rattle can primer several times over (plus with a spray box much easier to spray indoors)

For small figures, take a piece of cardboard and stick a loop of masking tape down to it. This lets you do a bunch at a time, and you can turn and angle the cardboard so you can get all sides in one step. I like to wear a rubber glove to keep paint off my fingers, but I guess you could just use a bigger piece of cardboard?

For larger figures (or single small ones) I stick the base to a cork or paint pot using blutack.
