Rhinos, Drop Pods, and Razorbacks...oh my!

After playing some games and experimenting with a ton of list building, I think the point costs for these are way off. I don't think Rhinos and Drop Pods offer enough for their points while Razorbacks seem like such a bargain. When building lists, I always just end up finding a way to shave points to take the Razorback over the Rhino. As far as Drop Pods go, I am not even sure I would take them if they cost half as much. All the units I would like to put in a Drop Pod are no longer an option. Maybe it is different for the Blood Angels, Space Wolves, etc. But for regular Space Marines, seems like a points waste.

As a Wolves player, the ability to get 10 models into charge range ASAP is valuable in it's own right. And while Storm Bolters definitely aren't Lascannons, being able to throw 8 dice of bolter fire (for 4 extra pts) at anything within 12" certainly makes it a pretty good distraction for the rest of your army.

The fact the Rhino can heal itself should never be discounted. It can mean the difference between shooting at a 4+ and a 3+. The Razorback trades that for some pretty cheap firepower.
