Nid Paint Scheme - Dip Method query

This being the shooty-edition and all, for some reason I really want to do something melee, and I've always loved nids. Due to the scale of this endeavour, I will be using the dip method. A friend of mine dipped his and they turned out well enough - he wanted to go for the slimy cockroach effect and went bleached bone carapace and black flesh. Dipped, the bleached bone turned rather brownish.

I'm thinking of something brighter for my bugs, but have no idea how the dip method will affect the brightness of the tones I am choosing - this is where I'm asking for input and info. Here's the scheme:

http://www.dakkadakka.com/core/painter.jsp?i=3&p=2&1=fcb825&2=34312c&3=34312c&4=34312c&5=34312c&6=Cdcebe&7=34312c&8=34312c&9=34312c&10=34312c&11=34312c&12=34312c&13=34312c&14=34312c&15=Cdcebe&16=Cdcebe&17=Cdcebe&18=Cdcebe&19=Cdcebe&20=Cdcebe&21=52b246&22=52b246&23=52b246&24=52b246&25=52b246&26=52b246&27=52b246&28=52b246&29=52b246&30=52b246&31=52b246&32=52b246&33=fcb825&34=34312c&35=34312c&36=34312c&42=fcb825

The plan is to airbrush Grey Vallejo Surface Primer, then airbrush the Averland Sunset basecoat for the flesh and "squishy bits". Step 3 is to glaze the squishy bits green, then Step 4 is the carapace. Step 5 paint on the sauce.

Then I'll need to decide whether I want to spray on a satin or matte coat to allow for some highlighting or drybrushing, or whether to leave it shiny and call it done.

Will the yellowish-orange of the averland sunset get too subdued by the dip sauce, do you think? Will the dryad bark just go black? Will the pallid flesh be a good base for a light-coloured set of claws and teeth, or should I stick with Screaming Skull? I don't want to get too dull and go Zandri Dust or Usabti Bone. I was thinking the pallid flesh is a bit more cool than warm, which is a stark contrast to the rest of the warm colors.

These aren't normally colorurs I'd use, so I don't want to just go out and buy a bunch of stuff to play around with if I don't have to - hence the request.

Thanks in advance.
