This list is with that in mind plus having some solid obj holder and some tactical flexibility.

Terminator captain, storm bolted and thunder hammer
Lemartes
Sanguinary priest, JP, Power Sword,

Sniper scout with camo
5 TAC with heavy flamer i razorback with TLAC
5 TAC with heavy flamer i razorback with TLAC

15 DC, boltgun, 5 power sword,3 plasma pistol
D.C. Dread talons and grapple
5 terminator assault TH&SS

Stormraven with storm bolter,TLAC, multimelta

Termi n captain n dredd in stormraven+D.C.+2character+2 razor+ scout: 7 drops, 3 of which stay in the background and the rest pop up 9" in front of foes.

Why not scrap the crappy tactical squads for some better valued assault squads with 2x plasma guns?

I was thinking about that but it would void the razorback use in that case

8th edition doesn't "void" anything. Remember that the Razorback doesn't require troops now - and you can take more than one without any sort of requirement.

Put corbulo in a raven hauling 10 DC( with power mauls/axes and pistols) a DC dread and meph
Another DC above 10(pod, packs or Bolters), then back it all up with Baal preds/land speeders.
The death company with corbulo gets buffed beyond belief( strength, hits, wounds), Astorath can deep strike in and drop Magnus in one turn while meph is a distraction carnifex that will rape anyone, the Baal preds and speeders literally speed around harassing everything with assault cannons heavy fallers , MM and Typhoon on the speeders.

If you take all power mauls, consider calling them the Riot Company who beat up hiippes.

I love the enthusiasm and the theoryhammer behind this, at the same time I really have hard time using special characters; feels a bit like cheating. I had to talk myself into it for using Lemartes and I'm still insecure if I'll play him or not...
