If it does spill your options are either wipe it away immediately, like IMMEDIATELY, before it melts in to the plastic which only takes a couple of seconds; or wait until it completely cures (a day or two) and then clean it up by sanding it away and resculpting the area.

Trying to clean it up after it's started to melt the plastic but before it's dried solid will just create more mess.

i was trying to both glue and fill at the same time by melting some plastic shavings then sticking it in the gap and pressing together, not doing that again or if i do i'm using alot less. My scissors barely cut paper, and the one craft knife I ever bothered getting was a tad on the useless side. These shears are the bees knees, though! I can cut things off sprues, add battle damage, cut things open for conversion, shave edges etc. Love 'em, and had them in use for years.
