Water color paint as a wash on miniatures?

As the title states, has anyone tried using water color paint as a wash on their miniatures? I have a background in fine art and it's something I've always been curious of. I've seen and heard tell of mini painters using oil paint, but never water color. I have every intention of testing it out, regardless of any and all responses, I'm just curious as to anyone's experience with it! Water color would be a hell of a lot more forgiving, as it could be washed off or reactivated if you weren't happy with it. For that very reason, you'd have to seal it once you were ready to move to the next step. That's a small price to pay if it works out though!

Water color paint as a wash on miniatures?

I'm used to the cheap watercolors I've owned leaving rings. Maybe some additive would help, such as the detergent in our acrylic washes. Plain water ones haven't been great for me either.

I've used watercolors as decent facepaints, though.
