In which case, which varnish is best? I bought GW Purity Seal, but on a test model it dried cloudy and dulled metallics to a matte finish. Now I'm reluctant to use it on proper models. I'm painting Ad Mech, so there's a lot of metallics that don't want to be dulled, but I also don't want the cloaks etc looking high shine. Is Satin finish a middle ground? I'm paranoid about wrecking my models which have taken so much time and effort.
