				<description><![CDATA[ So I recently invested in a sizable number of Chaos Possessed with my singular strategy being:<br /> <br /> 1. Move them their full movement<br /> 2. Supporting Daemon Prince "Warp Times" them<br /> 3. Advance them (using Command Points if need be)<br /> 4. Charge<br /> <br /> Needless to say, this will be mainly for casual games. However, it got me curious. Let's assume that I have set up a full-sized squad of Possessed opposite of your army with their tentacles writhing, jaws slobbering, and claws snapping. Let's also assume:<br /> - Both of our armies are 1000 points<br /> - Our main lines are 24" away from each other, not including any infiltrating units you may have<br /> - There is nothing else in my army worth killing at the moment<br /> - I will use two command points to auto-pass any morale tests you may inflict on the Possessed<br /> - You have the first turn<br /> - The dice gods are favourable and I will cross those 24" in my next turn<br /> <br /> How do you take out my unit of Possessed and how much of your army would you have to use?<br /> <br /> Bonus points if you can also take down the Winged Daemon Prince with them.<br /> <br /> ]]></description>

I only have those stats handy.<br /> <br /> 1 W, 3+ Save, T4., 5+ Invuln.  22 points a piece.   <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(262);'>DP</span> is probably around 200 points.  <br /> <br /> So you have roughly 600 points invested in that?<br /> <br /> 4 Taurox Primes, gatlin guns, HSVG, and Stormbolters is only 400 points.<br /> <br /> 88 S4 AP0 shots, 64 S4 <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(6);'>AP</span> -2 shots.  At BS4+.<br /> <br /> That looks like 18 dead the first turn turn at 24", and that's assuming I move my Tauroxes. I should have known that was way too many wounds.<br /> <br /> Anyway, 12 wounds total for 4 TPs with Gatlin guns, Storm bolters, and HSVGs, after moving.  That leaves you 14 guys. 				<description><![CDATA[ Their durability ain't terrible. But their damage output is pretty meh for how much they cost. I play orks so i think 1 mob will just eat charge and there will still be around half the mob left to strike back. Than the second one will hit the fray and we'll grind 40 t4 3+ wounds across the game. 30 boyz will kill around 6-7 possessed per phase. 20 possessed will kill 8-26 boyz from the bauble wrap squad. So, it's not really that easy to kill possessed with boyz but i'm positive that 2*30 can do it more or less reliably. However, it still depends on the rolling. Mostly on d3 attacks.]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ I would use my spearhead <br /> Malanthrope<br /> 4x brood of 3 Biovores<br /> 2x Exocrine<br /> <br /> 12 Biovores hit on 4+ that's on average 7 mortal wounds plus 6 spore mines I get to place in your charge path disrupting your charge so you can't get to my army for an extra turn. <br /> <br /> 2 Exocrines fire 24 shots hitting on 3+ that's 18 hits ave -3 rend 2 <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(198);'>dmg</span> each <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(123);'>str</span> 7 so wounding on 3's that's 10 more dead.<br /> <br /> So 3-4 dead from the biovores and 10 dead from the exocrines. lets say 13 dead out of 20? leaving you 7 and your prince but you also are blocked/disrupted by the 6 sproemines in your movement path. Your Deamon prince could still make it to assault one of my exocrines maby dbl assault an Exo and a brood of 3 Biovores but your possessed wouldn't make it. Next turn your remaining marines would die to my remaining firepower. Your <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(262);'>DP</span> might be able to kill the Exo or the brood of 3 bios but likely not both and they would likely put a wound or 3 on him. Then next turn whatever I had left engaged with the <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(262);'>DP</span> would fall back and the rest would fire at him and assault to finish.]]></description>

If it's concentrated they get surrounded by the spore mines.]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ 6 <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(305);'>GK</span> Strike Squads (falchions), 1 Grand Master NDK (psycannon & psilencer)<br /> 3 Strikes on table, 3 Teleporting<br /> GMNDK gates forward & Smites with 3 Strikes for 12 mortal wounds (possessed are daemons right?)<br /> Storm Bolters shoot 90 (only 3 squads in rapid fire) for ~12 unsaved wounds<br /> GMNDK shoots for ~ 6 unsaved<br /> 3 Strikes (one <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(707);'>CP</span> reroll) and GMDK (reroll warlord trait) assault to mop up the remaining 5<br /> If a strike squad makes it in, ~2 possessed die (assuming unlucky d3's)<br /> If GMNDK makes it in, 3-4 die.<br /> Assuming I didn't screw my math, that ~850 points kills them on average rolls. The charges make it pretty swingy, but even if they fail the squad is neutered.<br /> <br /> ]]></description>
