I've used the black and it's absolutely spot on - good coverage, and colour is exactly 100% match to the bottle. The colours are really good too, and you can expect excellent coverage and boldness of the colour.

A tip though - never use army painter stuff if it's humid. It will effect the paint, and cause misery.

Re:Army painter sprays

I've used them (almost every colour) for years now. Here's the long and short.

1) The black and white basic primers are the least consistent of the bunch. Sometimes they're good, sometimes just okay (haven't had a really bad can). You're probably better off using another black or white primer (their grey is quite good though)
2) The colours are superb, but I have noticed minor colour discrepencies over a year or two (when they changed bottle types). My necrotic flesh is slightly different out of a two year old can vs. the current ones I have.
3) The colours are fantastic, and why anyone base-coats by hand if the colour is available in a can is beyond me.
4) The thickness of the primer/paint means if you spray in high humidity or heat (i.e....where I live) the nozzles gum up pretty easy, so do yourself a favor and buy some spare nozzles.
5) I have the occasional can go bad before it's used up - maybe one out of 10 cans will just fail.

So they're not unfailingly brilliant, but for $12-15 a can...and you can get a LOT of work done out of a can, they're fantastic. If they were a little cheaper I'd be even more enthusiastic.

Colours I've used extensively:
Leather Brown
Fur Brown
Necrotic Flesh
Purple (whatever the basic purple is)
Military/Army Green
Skeleton Bone
White Primer
Black Primer
Desert Yellow
The "not Dark Angels" green
Emerald Blue? (the lighter of the blue)
Anti-Shine
Grey Primer
The brighter yellow
Dragon Red

Have not tried any of their metallics.

One bit of warning - while I swear by the AP spray cans, the two colours I tried purchasing in their actual acryllic bottles...were fething garbage. These were the matching purple, and the matching yellow - both of which are garbage acryllic paints. Water, zero pigment, piss-poor coverage. So their acryllic bottles have yet to win me over, and likely never will. This is a little bit of a pain, meaning I have to vageuly colour match my vallejo paints if I need to touch up a model.
