Customized Shoulder pads

Hey all, I've been looking at making all my new space marine models into Novamarines, but I'm no good at painting details such as their chapter logo. As of right now I've been looking at the chapter customizer website and was wondering if anyone had any experience with their products!!

Re:Customized Shoulder pads

It would help if you included the URL.

I assume you're talking about these guys: https://www.chaptercustomizer.com

I'd be hesitant. They mention 25 micron 3d printing which is I think about the best you can get out of a consumer grade printer nowadays, but it'll look like this:

Spoiler:

Maybe they have some trick to eliminate the stair-stepping evident on the curved spots, and maybe it wouldn't even be that bad once painted, but I think it'd really stick out on something curved like shoulderpads, Particularly if you tried to apply a wash or ink. I'm not too hopeful though, as they don't have any pictures of their stuff; 3d renders don't instill in my a whole lot of confidence.

If you do go for it, be sure to let us know how it turns out though.

That looks to be a cool site, but without some reviews, I'm hesitant. I know Plokoone's and Pop Goes the Monkey are both great and reasonably priced.

https://www.shapeways.com/shops/plokoone-s-bits

https://www.shapeways.com/shops/popbits

I dont normally blatantly self promote, but we do these all the time with a Solus Micron 3d printer. Our facebook page has some of the more recent ones, I think the last one was with the Green Lantern logo.

edit:
