I need some conversion advice

Ok so I plan on jumping into 8th with a new army, and I've finally settled on a theme.
I want to make a wood elf themed craftworld army.
Thing is, I'm hardly familiar with the Eldar or wood elf kits. So on to my question.
I want to make a starting army (assuming points values are relatively the same as 7th) of about 1000 pts.

What kits should I buy to minimize waste and cost and how would you recommend combining the minis to reflect the theme?

You will need to determine if you lean more to 'space' or more to 'wood'.

Glade guard style models will go well with Guardain equivalents, but which is your base, and which do you use as accessories?

I'd imagine several of the tree spirits could be merged with Wraith Constructs, but again, which would you prefer to use as your base?

Using Cold Ones as calvary could be a good replacement for Jetbikes. Or you could use Wild Riders with spears and braided hair on regular Craftworld Jetbikes.

Finally, the Eldar Exodites have long had an association with nature. Try looking up conversions for further inspiration! The possibilities are endless!

I've begun slowly building an Exodite force using Wood Elf bits, inspired by Ynneadwraith's P&M Blog on the site here. I'm going to use all flavours of Aeldari in them, but only done a squad if Counts As Incubi and a couple of characters so far. Check out my gallery to see how I've used DE stuff with Sylvaneth parts to get an idea of how some of the parts mesh if you like. I've definitely got a lot of plans as far as using the Fantasy models to give my Eldar a less "space" vibe.

There are a few Exodite makers across the site, but I'd definitely recommend Ynneadwraith's stuff as a good inspiration. I'd originally planned just a mixed Ynnari force, then when 8th dropped the Keyword Aeldari and I got free reign to take whatever without necessarily being Ynnari, it was his own models and fluff that made me realise I could come up with some interesting story behind why mine were all different from the stock models, rather than the practical one of me not wanting to use ancient molds in finecast over plastic.
