				<description><![CDATA[ <span style="font-size: 16px; line-height: normal;">New list below! Strat has slightly changed </span><br /> <br /> <br /> I play at a store in <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(755);'>NOVA</span> (area for the <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(755);'>NOVA</span> Open), so there is a lot of the current meta that you see listed on <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(451);'>BoLS</span> and Blood of Kittens. Along with all of the competition. <br /> This list is what I’m hoping to get in the top placement at our ITC <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(238);'>RTT</span> 2000 point tournament. <br /> <div style="margin-top:5px; margin-bottom:10px;">

<br /> The plan is run the exterminators and pask where I need them with 2 squads of conscripts and the commisars/commander bubble wrap. One squad will stay in the back and bubble wrap the 4 battle tanks that harass anything they can see. The chimera allows me to reduce my drop count, but also allows me to get psykers in position easily. Typically they will get used to nuke a guilliman, Mortarian, or other high price unit that gets murdeed  by a lot of mortal wounds. They always pay for themselves. Last game one of my primaris psykers landed his one hit on morty in melee and killed him after he and his brothers smote (smote?) him. <br /> <br /> I took a catachan detachment for the psykers because I liked the idea of them getting +1 S<br /> <br /> I’d love some real input on this list, I’ll only get two more games in with it before the tournament. Have I overlooked something? I’m sick of being in the middle of the pack, which is why I’ve taken such a meta challenging list.<br />

				<description><![CDATA[ Hey up,<br /> Have you thought about going catachan in the spearhead instead? You wouldn't have pask, but all of those tanks roll a random number of shots. With catachan you'd get an average of +1-2 shots per tank per turn. <br /> You could possibly squeeze in 2 tank commanders for the cost of pask and a regular russ, and use command points to give one of them the laurels of command for +1 order. That would help protect your 3 executioners from gets hot.<br /> Hope that helps. ]]></description>

And giving him Laurels gives him the potential of 4 tank orders a turn if Im reading it right. <br /> <br /> Thank you for the input! One of my tanks loses <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(280);'>Op</span> Sec. however, I get some cool gains. <br /> <br /> Yarrick sits in the back with 30 conscripts and 4 battle tanks. Reroll 1s and reroll shots for the battle cannons. Took heavy bolters and storm bolters in case they move. Everything in that ball gets objective secured. <br /> <br /> The 3 command exterminators give each other reroll ones tank orders and run with the 2x20 conscript squads along with their company commander / commisar. <br /> To make it work, I had to axe one psyker and pop in a tank commander. <br /> With those changes, the battle tanks can sit safely in the back holding objectives while the exterminators put in the work. That 3+<span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(14);'>BS</span> Will help compensate for moving more than 5" should the need arise. <br />

				<description><![CDATA[ I need an opinion, should I drop the Chimera and dramatically increase my drop count? I would give me one more commissar for the back conscripts with harker, and another psyker. <br /> <br /> Harker sits in the back with 30 scripts and the battle tanks. (I added another 20 dropping Yarrick and taking Harker)<br /> The rest of the army will be mobile. Going where they are needed. <br /> I dropped Yarrick for one simple reason, he's not worth the points after the <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(36);'>FAQ</span>. He needs to be 100 pts even. Thankfully I only own two commissars <img src="/s/i/a/c944477abc92c1c101da485e07ff06d8.gif" border="0">  Have you considered an inquisitor to perform the same function for one of the conscript units and an astropath to lend a hand to another unit?<br /> <br /> I'm also noticing fewer lists with earth shaker cannons and manticores.  The couple of games I played with russes I found I had to spend at least one or two turns moving into some decent firing lanes.  We use Nova terrain deployment so we end up with those giant <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(85);'>LOS</span> right in the center of the board.  A savvy opponent will utilize that to full effect.  I've found at least a little indirect long range fire can be a really good thing <img src="/s/i/a/c944477abc92c1c101da485e07ff06d8.gif" border="0">]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ Very true about the <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(85);'>LOS</span> terrain. I plan on doing a couple of mock games and seeing what happens. 72” range on the battlecannons guarantees hits if I can see it. A lot of the meta I see usually has a giant primarch that can’t hide very well, and if he is, something else important isn’t. <br /> I do see the value in having a better board control, so I split up my conscripts into a 30, and 3 squads of 20. The idea is that need be, I can bubble wrap pairs of tanks and survive that way. This list may spam a lot of the same units, but I can shuffle or stack them. They’re all good on their own. My 270 points of conscripts exist solely to bubble wrap my tanks.<br /> The conscript nerf bat really hurts. The commissar nerf hurts even more. I need to see how the scripts do on their own before look into changing them up to infantry squads or veterans. At the end of the day, they’re ridiculously cheap, and keep things from assaulting the meat and potatoes. My tanks. <br /> <br /> How would an astropath help? Just to deny cover?<br /> <br /> How would an inquisitor help? To get the same leadership buff as the commissar but requiring another detachment?<br /> I'm leaning towards a command tank. Granted it's a big target, but I don't see any other option other than taking the leadership losses.<br /> Commisars are BAD now. And never worth taking. Say I lose 14 models and the unit is leadership 9 from a commissar. I roll a 1, and I should lose 5 models. No. Because of the wording I HAVE to summary execution. I roll a 6. Because of crummy wording I lost 10 models instead of 5 because of bad rule wording. Anyone in a comp game worth their salt is going to use that against you. Every. Time. <br /> <br /> I really like non <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(85);'>LOS</span> ranged weapons, and they are quite powerful. But when I look at the leman russ, and know how much I love taking them, why spend the points on anything else? Especially when I get OPSEC.<br /> <br /> Double checking the rules, relic of lost cadia is <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(280);'>OP</span>. I might be going back to cadian tanks afterall. Army wide rerolls all game for free... WAT?! ]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ I was looking at using an inquisitor and astropath to cast what-ever-that-ability-is-called that allows a unit to auto pass morale.  That way at least two units are more survivable.  And you can use 2cp to auto pass another unit if needed.  Otherwise conscripts will fold like cheap suits in quick order I think.<br /> <br /> I'm staying with catachan for my blast weapons/tanks.  That reroll 1 die to determine number of shots is just too good.]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ Rerolling 1 die is good. There is no denying it. BUT rerolling 1s when you already hit on 4s is good too. To the point that on average it should about average out. Cadians can reroll the turret gun for one tank order, which is the same thing arguably. Not to mention I get overlapping fields of fire for cadia, so I can start hitting on 2s and 3s with regular tanks against heavy targets for 2 <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(707);'>CP</span>. <br /> Lastly, getting reroll 1s to hit and wound or all fails against chaos for free all game, and Cadia takes the cake. Opponent will aim at doing 11 kill at your 20 men squads and let the morale do the rest. That is a 40+% loss by morale. So basically, an opponent needs to deliver 50 kill and he obliterate your whole bubble wrap. I would suggest that your bataillon detachment becomes valhallan and that you take the valhallan artefact . <br /> <br /> Besides, I don’t understand the use and function of the chimera in your list.<br /> ]]></description>

The reason I want as few as possible are because in ITC tournament rules if I finish before opponent I get +1 to whatever I roll.  <br /> Example I finish first and roll a 6 to determine who goes first.
