Fire Prism help?

So ive assembling my first eldar models from the old start collecting all the jetbikes went together with minimum hassle but I've been using testors plastic cement and it seems to dry rather quickly. So should get different glue for the fire prism? And are there any other tips on assembling and painting eldar tanks?

Fire Prism help?

I used tesors to put mine together. There might be some warping on the big parts. I recall having to use clamps (just bag clips really) to hold the top/bottom hulls together while they dried. I could have held it by hand, but that would have taken a bit, would have been a quicker set with superglue.

No more advice then normal for putting kits together. Clean your mold lines, dry fit everything first, check your contact points for where to apply glue. Assemble/prime in parts so you can get a brush in where you need it.

Welcome to Eldar by the way.

Why are you looking for glue which doesn't dry quickly? That's a benefit, and not a problem.

Regarding painting Eldar tanks - paint them in sub-assemblies. Then assemble after the fact. They're quite easy. The basic chassis (top to bottom) is pretty worn out by now and I use bean bags laid on top of mine when gluing those components (and they still miss at some points).

The Eldar Fire Prism/Falcon/Wave Serpent kit could really do with a mold cut revisit. The larger the piece, the more it warps. I've seen it on Rhino's, Baneblades, Ork trucks, Speeders... any piece bigger then a couple square inches can (and will) warp. I just use either rubber bands or clamps from a DIY store.
