Agrellan Earth paint colour

Hi all,

So I'm trying to change up my basing so I picked up a big tub of crackle paste/paint stuff. Works well but it comes only in white. Does anyone have an exact or close enough regular paint colour to Agrellan Earth? The beige is really nice but I can't quite match it.

Thanks!

I tried Agrellan Earth when it was released and it has pretty much the same color as Graveyard Earth (or Steel Legion Drab for the new paints).

Re:Agrellan Earth paint colour

No problem. Personally I wouldn't leave it as is anyway. You want to paint the surface because the paint cracks when it dries, so you get another color on your base any way, but to me it looks a bit flat without at least basic highlighting or shading. I tried the Mars one as well and I had the same experience there. Cool effect, everything out of one pot without mixing or fussing about, but at the end of the day it's only a single tone and looks accordingly.

Agrellan Earth paint colour

Yeah that makes sense, the texture paints are a single colour. Would the same kind of colour work underneath it?

Re:Agrellan Earth paint colour

Yes and depends. I've painted it like that with Martian Ironearth on a base of the old Terracotta (which is ever so slightly darker) and with Graveyard Earth base for Agrellan Earth. It works and because of the raised crackle paint the recesses are so deep that you get noticeable shadows and thus natural shading in the recesses using essentially the same color.

Personally I prefer greater contrast on bases, though, so I tend to shade with a brown wash to get darker recesses. But that's personal preference.
