I'm from France and I've been wargaming for about 5 years now - since the release of 6th edition 40k. I started out with Chaos Space Marines and sprinkled some Guard allies into it during 6th edition. In the end I got sick and tired of 40k by 7th edition and shelved the whole game. 8th edition has brought me back though and I'm enjoying it so far, both with my CSM (mostly Alpha Legion, but Renegade Chapter has been awesome as well) and my Guard which I'm playing as Tallarn.

Outside of 40k I also play Saga (Irish & Steppe Tribes), Alkemy (Khaliman Republic), Kings of War (Ogres) and Mordheim (Beastmen) with varying regularity. I used to play Infinity (Aleph) but there are no Infinity players where I live...

While I dislike/hate painting (depending on the mood), I love playing (it's the main draw for me) and I really like converting and kitbashing - I was a bit reticent about it before starting, but once I got the Dark Vengeance box it started right away. Didn't like the shotgun cultist leader's head? Let's sculpt a cowboy hat and a bandanna over his face! Half the minis in my box are Dark Angels? Let's buy a few bits and turn the bikes and terminators into Fallen! I'm not the greatest converter, but I'm pretty decent. Helped by the fact that I have mastered the art of Google-Fu in order to copy other people's ideas/tutorials.

I am also DMing a Pathfinder campaign with my friends.
