				<description><![CDATA[ Hi there all, first time posting on dakka. I came here looking for advice in trying to make the most optimal list without spamming tyrants, dakkafexes, genestealers, trygons and exocrines. I know that it might be a dire task, but I hope that we can make it work, at least at a semi-competitive level. I have to say that I enjoy having my whole army painted, so I would like to adhere the most to the units I already have (don´t mind ditching some and having to buy/paint some more).<br /> <br /> It bores me how 8th evolved into a alpha strike/ gunline bubble. Why do we have an entire board if any unit is moving except for charging. Using Jormungand as adaptation, setting as reserves the termagants to exit through the mawlocs hole, while the genestealers would assault from the lictor and deploying the tyrant by <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(471);'>DS</span> to give synapse to the gants.<br /> <br /> I know that the strategy is severely messed up: I see that the exocrine is somewhat forced, as I hardly would neet backfield synapse if I used only biovores. In addition, I´m pretty unsure how much the advancing wave can soak up the damage. <br /> <br /> How about deepstriking a large group of warriors with 3+ save from Jormungand or using plates on stealers to gain 3+ (It would be possible to arrive to the enemy just by having more models/wounds with acceptable saves that they can afford with their shooting?)<br /> <br /> Well, that´s my Infinite 8 years old child´s wishlist.<br /> <br /> Sorry for my english, not a native speaker<br /> Thank you in advance!<br /> <br /> <br /> ]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ Dont take the carapace on the genestealers, its not worth giving up the speed. And its just a 4+, you already have a 5++ invul, and with the 4+ its just gonna turn into a 5 or 6+ with the amount of <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(6);'>AP</span> out there.<br /> <br /> Genestealers are better than Hormies. If you take the Genestealers parent with a broodlord. hormies are good to get around behind, but you need 30 to get benefit of the large unit rule. <br /> <br /> Acid spray on the&nbsp;Tyrannofex might be hard to get off. ALso Trygon would be better than the mawloc for the <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(471);'>DS</span> taxi. Dump out 30 devilgants and unload. ]]></description>

				<title>[2000] - Tyranids codex 8th - Daydreaming a Creative Semi-competitive list</title>
				<description><![CDATA[ I made a list the other day featuring <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(663);'>OOE</span> and 5 fexes paired with deep striking trygons bringing genestealers. Flyrant and malanthrope for support, then mawloc and deathleaper for distraction and character hunting. <br /> <br /> <br /> It was pretty good. Won 1 out of the two games, second being purge the alien and I had way more units. But both games were still close matches with both side taking heavy casualties. First game was vs. Grey knights and Eldar. Second tau and dark Eldar.<br /> <br /> It was actually my first game with em in the new edition and I am pleased. I feel Deathleaper and <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(663);'>OOE</span> with some buds are gonna be regulars in many of my coming lists.  ]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ To Dynas: I planned using the Mawloc over the Trygon to save up some points, taking advantage that i was thinking in picking Jormungand.In case of the hormies, I suposse that i have no choice but to buy 10 more at least. The Broodlord confuses me a bit, as he can´t <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(471);'>DS</span> alongside the genestealers, so he would have to use his own method or just advance with the horde. If the genestealers are <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(471);'>DS</span> i see no problem in giving up Swift and Deadly, but I find that paying 2 aditional points per model kills that option.<br /> <br /> <br /> To Cuss: What weapons did carry the fexes? Did they used at least one set of HST? How effective was the Deathleaper at character hunting? I suposse that maybe he could do something vs non-marine characters. It´s a bit sad that we have 4 mandatory units in this army, having to spam really kills the variety, how many trygons and genestealers did you used?<br /> <br /> Thank you both for responding!]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ Yeah that is one issue with the Genestealers and the Broodlord. Remember the Broodlord is a genestealer and can use the genestealer rules. <br /> Also, if you take swarmy you can have him speed boost the broodlord to get him in range. <br /> you can drop pod the broodlord as well. <br /> <br /> Note when the genestealer infestation nodes come out with the codex Saturday, this may solve this problem. <br /> <br /> If you go <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(663);'>OOE</span> and Carnifexs, probably want to go with the screamer killer loadoats. Again, lots more options coming with the codex. And Dakkafexes will be back.]]></description>

The ripper swarms would act as late turn objetive grabbers or to avoid <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(471);'>DS</span>. Biovores for backfield support. The devilgaunts would pop using the Trygon Prime and the Genestealers and Broodlord would deploy thanks to the lictors. The flyrant would <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(471);'>DS</span> for a nasty surprise. The kronos adaptation is to mess up with psychics.<br /> <br /> Should I make the Trygon behemoth instead of Kraken and forget about the relic? Also explored the posibility of composing a brigade for 3 <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(707);'>CP</span> more, but I find a nuisance to spend 135 points in spore mines and a useless lictor. Also it makes more difficult to make the best use from adaptations.<br /> <br /> How does it seems?<br /> <br /> 11 <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(707);'>CP</span> (-1 for relic, -2 for lictors deploy stratagem) = 8 for other uses<br /> <br /> And I would have to make myself to the idea of buying and painting 40 hormas... well, feth my life (dont do tyranids kids)]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ I am pretty sure the Trygon dropped in points. Hes like 108 now, prime is like 138. Saw this on a vid. I think you have too many hive fleets and your going to have to be worrying about Synapse. <br /> You have 4 fleets, i would try to drop it to 2. Probably Kraken and Kronos or Behemoth and Kronos, 1 melee contingent and 1 shooting/pyskic contingent.<br /> <br /> If you can I would swap the biovore in the Behemoth for another Screamer killer. <br /> <br /> Instead of Jormungand i would take Kronos. The +1 cover isn't really going to help <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(72);'>IMO</span> with the amount of <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(6);'>AP</span> out there. Your better off camping those guys and rerolling 1's. Plus you have the option to put a Psychic shroud of <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(530);'>SitW</span>. <br /> <br /> For your Hormies, I think 2 units of 30 would be better]]></description>
